The components which make up this structural system are:

 Purlings.

 Front ends or lintels.

 Roof:

Roofs can come in a whole host of different materials: fibre cement, pre-painted or galvanised steel plating, prefabricated or “on site” sandwich panelling. The roof is fixed to the purlings framework with galvanised screws. The change in gradient at the ridge of the roof is solved by curving the plating or using special ridge parts, depending on the material chosen.
