The
supporting columns are the component which supports the forces
of the roof and transmits them to the foundations. For this
reason, they are normally set to coincide with the ends of the supporting
beams.
They are designed taking into
account the effects of other loads, such as those created by
gantry cranes and intermediate flooring, and also wind forces
when they form part of the façade of the building.
The columns are designed and manufactured using built-up
UPN profiles with fasteners, although solid-core profiles
such as IPE or HEB, can also be used when requested.
