This
system consists of two 0.5-mm thick, pre-painted
or galvanised,
cold-formed, outer steel plating faces joined by a nucleus of rigid,
expanded, polyurethane
insulation foam which is adhered during the manufacturing
process to make the faces self-supporting.
The sides of the upper face are profiled with ribs or grooves upon
which a set of join covers are placed. The two sheets of metal
plating which make up the panel are separated by a profile formed in
EPDM or a vapour-barrier side strip made of aluminised panelling in
order to break the “heat bridge”.
The panels are fixed to the
purling framework with self-threading screws which are concealed
beneath the join covers.
When the length of the sides (more than 12
m) means that the covering must be fronted on more than one stretch,
the lapping is made watertight using a special seal. The ridge joins
are made using special ridge parts dyed according to the panel
profiling.
Standard panels are 30 mm thick, although
thicknesses of up to 80 mm can be supplied on customer request. Panels
filled with mineral fibre can also be supplied.
Normal finishes:
Galvanised. A coating of zinc is
applied to the two faces of a steel reel – SENDZIMIR process- in
accordance with specifications set out in the UNE 36131 - EN 10142,
Z-275 standard. Suitable for atmospheres which are not especially
corrosive and aesthetically undemanding projects.
Pre-painted. An epoxy resin-based
coating is applied to the two faces of a reel of galvanised steel. The
outer face is then coated with a silicon polyester resin-based lacquer
in accordance with the specifications set out in
UNE 36150 - EN 10169. Suitable for low corrosion atmospheres and
aesthetically demanding projects.
Adecuado para ambientes poco corrosivos y con exigencias estéticas.
